PlOTLINE

:

The OVA is centered around 2 separated plots and yes, 2 separate couples.

Story 1 : Two male mangaka, one a young, upcoming newbie and the other an established artist who's also 10 years older, meet and fall in lust, before they actually fall in love. Along the way, a misunderstanding occurs. Will our main couple tide over the crisis?

Story 2 : It's time to do some serious pet-sitting again, and our dear pet-sitter/animal-lover is totally excited! Until he reaches the customer's house and discovers that the cute bunny he's supposed to be pet-sitting, is actually a cute bishounen!

COMMENTS

:

Simply put, [Sensitive Pornograph] is a fluffy, candy-sweet anime that's not to be taken seriously from any angle. I don't even think there's any real plot to speak of, but that's the fun in it. What do you watch yaoi anime for? Bishounen and pretty lemons? Then you've got it with this anime! It seems sex is the main dish for both stories, and I mean that in a good way.

Here's the inevitable comparison with the yaoi anime of old (read: 'old' refers to those yaoi anime that were made quite some time - could be 7 or more years - ago). There is a marked improvement in this latest yaoi anime offering. I feel that past yaoi anime are more cautious when it comes to yaoi-ness (romance, sex, couple dynamics, you name it), and that certainly isn't the case with [Sensitive Pornograph]. All in all, [Sensitive Pornograph] is an enjoyable yaoi ride and a good sign of future yaoi anime to come.

MAIN CHARACTERS

:

Our four uhm...sex players? Oh well, they star in a PWP!

HANAZAKI SONO. A famous erotica mangaka who also leads a promiscuous life in the hope of finding his true love. Sono is a soft-spoken, manipulative (Windy : At least I think so), but strong-willed man who clearly know what he wants.

YAMADA SEIJI. A sweet, goofy and rather simple young man who is completely besotted with his Sono-san, although he was the one being seduced in the first place, lol. Incidentally, he's also an up-and-coming shonen mangaka.

UENO KOJI. A sweet and simple (Seiji the 2nd?!) guy who absolutely adores animals! In fact, he's also a pet-sitter. He's also straightforward with his emotions. He may be thoroughly seduced by Aki, but he's still considerate with Aki's feelings.

AKI. Our utterly ravishable 'bunny'. He's not as wretched as you may think (being a sex toy and all). Ueno is just another lay at first but Aki is clearly moved by his simplicity. ^_~ We don't have to guess what comes next for them.

MANGA DETAILS

:

Number of volumes : 1
Status : Complete (?)

I have read both raws and scanlations of the first story, and what I can say is that the OVA character design closely follows the manga artwork. I don't feel that the manga is particularly outstanding, but the style is lovely and the lemons rather tastefully done although they are less explicit than the anime, lol.

ANIMATION

:

The animation is smooth, and distinctly more realistic with the sex scenes, be they lemons or kisses, and all of these are unabashedly dished out on screen. If you can, get your hands on the uncensored version of the anime, because it the details are wonderfully graphic! ^_~ There is nothing truly spectacular about the animation, to be honest, if we're taking it as an ordinary OVA. However, since this is a yaoi OVA (and therefore we're comparing it to its yaoi anime predecessors and we're taking in mind the reservations that creators will face when animating yaoi), then this piece of animation is very good, indeed.

SCREENCAPS

VOICE-ACTING

:

After checking out who the voice actors are, although I'm not completely sure the seiyuu information is accurate, I have to admit I have no idea at all who the seiyuu are. At any rate, I feel that the voice-acting is reasonably well-done. As we have SOME plot in this anime, the voice actors do get the chance to actually show some range, so yes, I do like the voice-acting.

MUSIC

:

The music is insignificant. ^^;; When you have a rather PWP-ish OVA where the focus is mainly on the love scenes, the music doesn't play a very large part, does it? ^_~
