Fans of X and Tokyo Babylon would SURELY have this! I'm no X fan. In fact, when I bought this, I didn't even
know what X was really all about. ^_^' I just thought it looked so cool with its black cover and all, you know. The
original version of this artbook is a hard-cover one and it comes sealed inside a box. Yeah, it's THAT cool (would
have gotten a 9.5 from me for sure!). Unfortunately, that one costs a LOT so I settled for the soft-cover one. It
took me a little while before I learnt to appreciate CLAMP's art style - I always thought it looked so sketchy.
I don't think that way now! ^^ The style is detailed, distinctively dreamy and surreal. There's also something about
it that looks very hand-drawn (as opposed to CG-fied art) which is all part of the charm. So here's a big, fat 9 for all those pretty pictures of the X characters! |
